Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are sweating on the fitness of talisman Lionel Messi ahead of their first leg Champions League round of 16 clash against Bayern Munich.
PSG welcome Bayern Munich to Parc des Princes in the first leg of their Champions League encounter next Tuesday.
Messi a doubt for Bayern clash
However, they could be without Messi for the big clash as the Argentine is currently struggling for fitness ahead of the game.
According to L’equipe, as per Bleacher Report, Messi picked up a hamstring injury in PSG’s clash against Olympique Marseille at Velodrome Arena on Wednesday night.
Although Messi played the full minutes in the clash, he suffered a tight hamstring, making him a doubt for the big game on Tuesday.
Messi to join Mbappe on the treatment table
PSG take a trip to Monaco in their next Ligue 1 match on Saturday, but Messi will likely miss that encounter.
Should Messi fail to recover for the clash against Bayern, it would be a big blow for PSG as they are currently without Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe will definitely miss the game after picking up a thigh injury in PSG’s 3-1 win over Montpellier. The France international has been ruled out of action for three weeks, ruling him out of the encounter next Tuesday.
PSG have had a disappointing campaign so far, even though they are on course to retain their league title.
Les Parisens have already been knocked out of Coupe de France following a 2-1 defeat to Marseille on Wednesday.
