The Argentina superstar has completed football, but he has one challenge left as Paris Saint-German (PSG) take on Olympique Marseille.

Argentina captain Lionel Messi will continue his quest to win the only title missing from his collection when PSG take on Olympique Marseille on Wednesday night.

PSG travel to Orange Velodrome to take on Marseille in Coupe de France round of 16 encounter.

PSG had beaten Pays de Cassel 7-0 in the previous round,  while Marseille saw off the challenge of Rennes.

Messi missed the 7-0 win but he is expected to feature on Wednesday night, especially with Mbappe out due to an injury.

The match is of huge significance to Messi as Coupe de France is the only competition he has played in and failed to win.

Messi eyes more history

Messi played just one match in the competition last season, which was also in the round of 16. However, PSG suffered a 5-6 penalty shootout defeat to OGC Nice, ending Messi’s chance of winning the competition last season.

But the 35-year-old now has another chance to go all the way and win the only title missing from his incredible collection, starting with Les Classique tonight.

Messi has won everything available in football. The Argentina international is a seven-time Ballon d’Or winner with ten La Liga titles, four Champions League, three FIFA World Club Cup, one Ligue 1 title, three UEFA Super Cups, four Spanish Super Cups, eight Copa del Reys and one Coppa America title.

And just last year, Messi won the biggest title of them all, the only trophy he wanted since his childhood, the World Cup.

The ex-Barcelona star led Argentina to their third World Cup title in Qatar last year, with a win over France via penalty shootout in the final.

That moment on December 18 was Messi’s crowning glory, but the Argentine is not done winning trophies as he goes for the French Cup.
