The UEFA Champions League resumes on the 14th of February, as the round of 16 takes center stage. We have taken a look at the odds for the likely teams to win this season’s UCL.

The 2022–23 UEFA Champions League continues on Tuesday as the knockout stages begin for the season.

Of the 16 teams left in the UCL, England and Germany have the most representatives, with four teams from each country. Italy has three representatives, Portugal has two, and there is one each from Spain, Belgium, and France.

Manchester City are the bookies' favorites to win their first UCL in history, while last season’s finalists, Liverpool and Real Madrid, have equal chances of winning the title, according to the bookies.

Manchester City are the bookies favorites

Pep Guardiola's side may be facing allegations of breaking Financial Fair Play rules, but the bookies still have them as UCL favorites.

Manchester City have been dominant under Pep but could lose their dominance if he walks

The Citizens have been placed at 2.70 odds on Bet9ja and SportyBet to win the UCL for the first time in their history. Last season, Manchester City were knocked out in the semifinals by eventual champions Real Madrid. However, with the acquisition of Erling Haaland, the Citizens have a higher chance of winning the trophy compared to last season.

Bayern Munich and PSG not far off

Bayern Munich had a disappointing UCL campaign last season, having lost over two legs to a less-fancied Villarreal side. The Bavarians have been placed at 7.00 odds on Bet9ja to win the UCL this season, while they have been placed at 7.20 odds on SportyBet. Sadio Mane missed Senegal's 2022 World Cup campaign after suffering a leg injury in Bayern's penultimate Bundesliga fixture of 2022. However, he could return in time to boost Bayern’s chances of making it all the way to the final and lifting the trophy.

PSG are desperate to lift their first UCL title, having signed Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar to this effect. However, despite their star-studded frontline, Bet9ja has them at 8.50 odds to be the eventual winners, while SportyBet has them at 8.60 odds.

Liverpool and Real have equal chances of winning

Liverpool and Real Madrid are familiar foes in the UCL, having faced off twice in six years in the UCL final. However, one thing is certain: there is no possibility of another final between both teams as they will face off in this season’s round of 16. Both teams have identical odds this season, with Bet9ja placing both of them at 10 odds. On SportyBet, Liverpool have a slight advantage at 10.50 odds, with Real Madrid placed at 11 odds to lift the trophy.

Napoli’s Blues over Chelsea’s Blues

Napoli are having a phenomenal season and are widely considered to be champions-elect in Serie A this season. Luciano Spalleti’s side were top of their group, which had Liverpool and Ajax. Both SportyBet and Bet9ja have Napoli at 11.00 odds to lift the UCL.

Chelsea are having a torrid season so far despite the huge investment they made in their squad this season. However, the West Londoners can never be written off, as they have proven in the past. With the likes of Enzo Fernandes, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Joao Felix added to Chelsea’s UCL squad, their chances of going all the way have improved. Bet9ja has placed 16 odds on Chelsea to win the UCL, while SportyBet has them at 16.50 odds.
