The former Blue head coach will be main speaker at the two-days event.

Former Chelsea manager Avram Grant is set to visit Kenya in September for an African football seminar.

The Football Foundation of Africa announced on Tuesday that Grant, who is the current Zambia national team head coach, will be the main speaker at the event.

Grant will be attending the inaugural Africa Football Business Summit slated for Thursday 14 to Friday 15 September.

“We are delighted to welcome Zambia National Team coach Avram Grant as a special guest at the Africa Football Business Summit 2023. The former Chelsea FC, Portsmouth, West Ham, and Ghana manager joins our elite list of speakers to deliver an exciting program,” the organization tweeted.

With his extensive experience in managing top-tier football clubs and national teams, Grant brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the event.

The Africa Football Business Summit aims to provide a platform for football stakeholders from across the continent to discuss and exchange ideas on various aspects of the game.

The event is expected to attract football administrators, club owners, coaches, players, and other key industry players passionate about driving African football's growth.

Grant, who missed out on Champions League glory with Chelsea in 2008 after a penalty shootout defeat in the final against Manchester United, has been in Zambia since 2022.

Before taking the Chipolopolo job, Grant was with Indian side NorthEast United FC as technical director and as head coach in September 2018.

The 67-year-old handled the Ghana national team from December 2014 to February 2017, guiding them to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Equatorial Guinea.

He also led the Black Stars to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals in Gabon, losing to eventual winners Cameroon.
