“When it comes to talent, Nigeria has amazing players,” Omeruo noted. “Even those that are on the bench in the national team go to their club sides and bang in goals week in, week out.

“We need to have a stable technical crew. A technical crew will take us to where we are supposed to be and give us exactly what we get in Europe,” he added.

“We do not even know who will be the coach in the next game. It is crazy, and it has to be fixed.”

Meanwhile, in a related development, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has reportedly told Peseiro to take a pay cut or leave.

Per a report by Pulse Sports, Peseiro wants to stay on despite his contract expiring at the end of July but he has now been given an ultimatum to accept a pay cut or leave the team.

His time with the Super Eagles has not been a smooth sail, after nine games in the role, with four wins and five defeats, he has managed to qualify Nigeria for the African Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast next year.
