The Old Lady learned of the punishment following a court ruling on Monday.

Juventus have suffered a 10-point deduction in a new ruling by an Italian court that was investigating the Serie A side's transfer dealings.

The ruling means Juventus dropped to seventh place with only three games remaining in the season. Before the new ruling, the Turin giants were in second place with 69 points.

They were deducted 15 points in January for alleged financial irregularities and false accounting, a decision that was later lifted.

"Juventus Football Club takes note of what was decided by the FIGC Court of Appeal and reserves the right to read the reasons to evaluate a possible appeal to the Guarantee Board at CONI," the club's statement read.

"What was established by the fifth instance of judgment in this matter, which began more than a year ago, arouses great bitterness in the club and in its millions of supporters who, in the absence of clear rules, find themselves extremely penalized with the application of sanctions that seem to take into account the principle of proportionality.

"While not ignoring the need for urgency, which Juventus has never shied away from during the proceedings, it is emphasized that these are facts that still have to be evaluated by a judge."

There was a suggestion that the 11 points be deducted before the panel settled for 10.

Initially, the Bianconeri were handed a 15-point deduction that was quashed upon a successful appeal.

The allegations were that the club was involved in financial irregularities and transfer dealings that saw the players’ prices inflated.

Some officials – former and serving – were implicated in the case. Fabio Paratici was forced to leave his chief role at Tottenham Hotspur after he was handed a 30-month ban. He had worked with the Old Lady between 2010 and 2021.

Pavel Nedved, Paolo Garimberti, and Enrico Vellano were, however, successful in appealing their charges. On the other hand, Paratici, Andrea Agnelli, and Federico Cherubini were unsuccessful in their appeals.
