Former Inter Striker Edin Dzeko has said an emotional farewell to the club in his send-forth video after agreeing to a move away from Italy.
Dzeko thanks Inter fans for two wonderful year
After featuring in the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League final for Inter against Manchester City, Dzeko has decided to call time on his Nerazzurri career after finalising a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce.
The Bosnian striker had been with Inter for two years, helping the Nerazzurri to back-to-back Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana titles as well as the runners-up spot in the 2023 UEFA Champions League.
After scoring 31 goals in 101 appearances in all competitions for Inter across two seasons, Dzeko decided to leave the Nerazzurri for Turkey with Fenerbahce as his new home.
Dzeko pens emotional farewell to Inter fans
Dzeko posted a video on Instagram to the club commemorating his exit, in which he described his time at the club as “a marvellous journey.”
The 37-year-old forward remembered his time at Inter saying, “Ciao pazza Inter, these were two wonderful years. Wonderful on the field, with the coach and teammates. And beautiful in the stands: San Siro always packed with an incredible support everywhere for a team capable of reaching the final in every competition.
“I scored. I dreamed. We dreamed, covered kilometres and won four cups.
“It was a marvellous journey. Now we go our different ways, but thank you for everything. And best of luck for the future! Forza Inter. Edin.”
Dzeko has already agreed on an Inter exit for Fernabache and is set to be unveiled as a new player soon.
