Osimhen has had a turbulent few weeks at Napoli under Rudi Garcia despite scoring six league goals this season.

Former Napoli star Giuseppe Bruscolotti has slammed Rudi Garcia over his treatment of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen has had a few difficult weeks at Napoli and under Garcia. The Nigerian striker was unhappy with the club’s decision to troll him on their TikTok account after missing a penalty in the goalless draw against Bologna.

In the same match, Osimhen also clashed against Garcia after the Frenchman took him off while Napoli were searching for a goal.

While Osimhen has put all the drama behind him, Bruscollotti is still not happy with the way Garcia is using the Nigerian.

The Serie A champion is unhappy with Garcia’s decision to take Osimhen off in Napoli’s 3-1 loss to Fiorentina at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Sunday night.

Osimhen was taken off in the second half of the encounter, with Napoli trailing 2-1. The former Lille star had put Napoli level from the spot after Josip Brekalo gave Fiorentina the lead in the seventh minute.

Giacomo Bonaventura then restored the away side’s lead in the 63rd minute, forcing the hands of Garcia.

However, the French tactician surprisingly took off Osimhen for Giovanni Simeone, to the disgust of Bruscolotti.

Bruscolotti insists Garcia should not have taken Osimhen off with Napoli chasing the game at 2-1.

“Now Garcia needs to come to his senses a bit, I see him in total confusion. Advice from the wise? They can make the coach understand that we need to compete to achieve results. The players don't want to be in charge, but they want to make it clear that this isn't going anywhere,” Bruscolotti told Napoli Magazine.

Garcia must convince himself that if he is losing he cannot take away Osimhen. Mario Rui? There's something wrong and it doesn't make sense to bring him in with three minutes to go." Mario Rui? ,” Bruscolloti added.

Nonetheless, despite Garcia’s treatment of Osimhen, the Nigerian striker is still Napoli’s top scorer in the league this season with six goals.
