Kenyan midfielder Richard Odada looks to maintain his impressive form at AAB Aalborg.

Harambee Stars midfielder Richard Odada is making waves in Denmark as he continues to shine for AAB Aalborg.

With two goals and stellar performances in his first four appearances for the Hele Nordjyllands, Odada is making waves in North Jutland, Denmark.

The 22-year-old midfielder,  who arrived at Aalborg on a one-year loan deal from Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union on August 15th, has seamlessly adapted to his new surroundings.

In an interview with the club portal, Odada expressed his gratitude for the warm reception at the 138 years old club.

"Teammates and the coaching staff have been helpful since I arrived. I feel comfortable and part of the team, and right now, I'm just looking forward to the upcoming match,” he said.

Aalborg's upcoming match, scheduled for Friday at Aalborg Portland Park against HB Koge, marks an exciting milestone for Odada as he eagerly anticipates taking the field.

"So far, the fans have created a great atmosphere for our matches, both away and at home, and I hope even more fans will attend the match because it motivates us,” he added.

Odada's journey has been a whirlwind of action, not limited to club football as during the previous international break, he showcased his prowess at Harambee Stars, clocking full playing time in two games.

He continued to impress with a magnificent goal, securing a 1-1 draw in last week's away game against Sønderjyske at Sydbank Park.

While the spotlight may shine on his individual achievements, Odada remains focused on the collective goals of his team. "I am happy to have scored, but the most important thing for me is the team's performance and results. We must focus on the next game and deliver the best possible effort so that we can hopefully secure a victory," he noted.

When questioned about seizing opportunities, he responded with unwavering confidence, stating, "When you have the chance to shoot, why hesitate?"

Primarily operating as a box-to-box midfielder, he also possesses the ability to sit in front of the defense, adding depth and adaptability to the squad.

Odada’s journey has been marked by determination and a hunger for playing time. Prior to his stint with Philadelphia Union, he had a brief spell with Serbia's Red Star Belgrade, where he made only two league appearances in three years.

His experience in Philadelphia, albeit challenging, has prepared him for this new chapter in Denmark, where he is thriving and eager to make a lasting impact.

AAB Aalborg holds a purchase option at the end of the season, signaling the club's belief in Odada's potential and the bright future that lies ahead.
