Ilkay Gundogan’s agent has denied reports claiming the midfielder is close to signing a new deal with Manchester City.

The playmaker's future at the club is still up in the air, despite being on the verge of leading Manchester City to a treble.

The Germany international was on target against Manchester United in the final of the FA Cup, with his two goals helping his Manchester City secure their second trophy this season.

His agent Ilhan has now said that nothing has been agreed between both parties or any other club with the player focused on Saturday’s Champions League final against Inter Milan.

Gundogan’s agent denies rumours of a new deal

Gundogan’s agent Ilhan has debunked the rumours saying the German international is set to sign a new contract with Man City.

Speaking to journalist Fabrizio Romano, he said, “Nothing has been agreed with City or any other club. The recent reports are not true. Ilkay is only focused on the final”.

The midfielder has been linked to several clubs across Europe with the likes of Arsenal and Barcelona looking to get his signature.

However, based on his agent's comment, he has yet to agree on any deal with either Man City or any other club interested in signing him.

Gundogan speaks on his future

Gundogan was asked about where his future lies next season after helping City lift the FA Cup at Wembley Stadium.

According to Manchester evening news, the 32-year-old said, "To be honest, I don't need these kinds of days to feel appreciated and to feel special in this club.

“I know that, that's why I'm here seven years, all the ups and downs that I've had so far. Nothing is decided yet, so we're going to see what is going to happen."

The midfielder is yet to reveal his next plan ahead of next season with his contract set to expire in the summer.
