Mason Greenwood is training in Manchester amidst Marseille's Champions League plans
Mason Greenwood, who made a permanent move to Olympique Marseille from Manchester United in 2024 for a reported £26.6 million (or €31.6 million), has been spotted training in Manchester with former United youth team-mate D'Mani Mellor during the summer break.

This comes after a highly successful debut season in France for Greenwood, where he played a major role in securing Champions League qualification for Marseille for the 2025-26 campaign.
According to The Sun, the 23-year-old forward has been utilising familiar training facilities in Manchester to maintain his fitness levels.

He was joined this week by D'Mani Mellor, who also came through the Carrington academy ranks alongside Greenwood. Their paths, however, have diverged significantly since.
Mellor, who made a single senior appearance for United in a 2019 Europa League match against Astana (a game in which Greenwood also featured), eventually left Old Trafford permanently in 2022.

After spells with Wycombe Wanderers and other clubs, he now plays under the stewardship of Robbie Savage at non-league outfit Macclesfield FC.
Mellor had a strong 2024-25 season with Macclesfield, scoring 18 league goals and signing a new deal in April 2025.
