Super Eagles ace Victor Osimhen has rolled out the credits after winning the AIC Player of the Year Award, dedicating the honour to God, his family, friends and supporters.

As Pulse Sports reported, Victor Osimhen was named the best player for the 2022/23 Serie A season at the Gran Gala Del Calcio held in Milan on Monday night.

The award is voted on and presented by the Italian Footballers' Association (AIC) in recognition of the Napoli striker's contributions en route to winning the historic Scudetto last season.
Osimhen finished the 2022/23 season as the top scorer in Serie A with 26 goals, becoming the first-ever African Capocannonierea and although he missed out on the official player of the season award to teammate Khivcha Kvarastkhelia, his peers have deemed him worthy of being MVP for the past campaign.
Osimhen pens appreciation message
The award is a source of pride for the Nigerian international, and he has now taken to his social media to dedicate the prize to those he deems pertinent to his journey.
“Thank you, @grangaladelcalcioaic, for the recognition and awards. Thank you, my family, friends and supporters, for your votes and unending support. God is the greatest,” the striker posted on his Instagram.
The post met with a huge reception, as his comment section was a sea of verified handles, all sending the former Lille man congratulatory messages.
