Enyimba squeeze Tech boys Sporting Lagos into relegation mire, begin IT classes

NPFL champions Enyimba plunged Sporting Lagos into the murky waters of relegation after some football lessons in Aba.

NPFL champions Enyimba have started IT classes after condemning Sporting Lagos to the murky waters of relegation in the football league. 

The People’s Enyimba squeezed the life out of the so-called Tech Boys and social media darlings following a 2-0 win on Sunday.

In a one-sided encounter, the defending champions of the NPFL comfortably saw off the newly promoted side, plunging them into a seventh defeat and into relegation.

Two goals in either half from Ekwutoziam Eze and Elijah Akanni handed the Elephants the needed win to extend their unbeaten run to five matches.

Enyimba’s assistant manager, Olarenwaju Yemi Daniel, stated after the game that he told his boys to squeeze the NPFL newbies.  

“We Squeezed them and that is exactly what I asked the boys to do.” Yemi said per a post from the club.

Humiliated by the host’s clinical performance, Sporting now face a huge battle to reboot their survival hopes with just four wins in 17 matches.

The Tech boys have failed to win any of their last five matches, with three defeats and two draws, pushing them down into relegation.

Sporting now sit 18th on the table with 17 points from 17 matches while Enyimba moved into the top four, three points behind leaders Remo Stars.

With the sweet win sealed, the NPFL's most successful team has taken to social media to celebrate with a cheeky jibe at their visitors on Sunday.

Enyimba has commenced tech classes, calling on fans to come for lessons after schooling Sporting.

“A friendly Reminder; Tech classes Started yesterday….JavaScript, Python, SQL name it……We teach you !!” the club posted on X.com.
