The Gunners could not sign the Seagulls’ star when their £70 million offer was previously rebuffed.

Moises Caicedo’s agent, Manuel Sierra has offered an optimistic update on the midfielder’s future amid fresh interest from Arsenal.

Sierra praised Arsenal, a club that has been linked with the Ecuadorian in the past. The Gunners were close to signing the midfielder, but the deal did not materialize in the end.

"Arsenal is a great team for everyone; let’s see what happens in the summer, there are many clubs keen on Moises," Sierra told Arsenal Insider.

"Moises has four years left on his contract. He’s having an incredible season, so it’s normal that there are many clubs interested in him.

"Now he’s completely focused on the last part of the season; all evaluations will be postponed until the summer."

However, Sierra dismissed the existence of a special clause in Caicedo’s contract that might facilitate a move away from Brighton.

"This is not a surprise because there aren’t many other midfielders so young and talented around Europe. I believe he can really improve in every aspect of the game," he added.

Caicedo has also been linked with other clubs, and the agent reveals that the players’ main target is to play in the Champions League. Arsenal are set to take part in next season’s campaign.

"He can slot into any [team] as he is ready for it all," he concluded.

"His dream is to play in the Champions League and to reach as far as he can in football."

Caicedo has been a star player for the Seagulls this season, and his performance has reportedly attracted interest from Manchester United and Liverpool.

But a move away from Brighton might not be as easy, given that he agreed to terms in a deal that runs until Match 2027.
