The CAF's Disciplinary Board announced the decision on Wednesday, along with a financial sanction of $20,000 for Al Hilal.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has fined Al Hilal for breaches of misconduct during their Champions League clash with Al Ahly on February 18.

The Sudan Premier League champions have been fined for their transgressions, including lack of security during training sessions and allowing fans into a closed-door match.

Additionally, the club's team doctor, Awad Elseed Osman Ahmed Mukhtar, has been suspended for four CAF interclub matches for his unsporting aggressive behaviour during the game.

The CAF's Disciplinary Board announced the decision on Wednesday, along with a financial sanction of $20,000 for Al Hilal.

The club has also been instructed to limit the number of attendees for matches played behind closed doors to 30 people in the tribune, along with the operational and technical staff.

Al Hilal Club is already playing their home matches during the group stage of the Champions League behind closed doors.

If the number of attendees for the next matches of Al Hilal Club played behind closed doors exceeds the mentioned quota, a fine of $50,000 will be automatically imposed.

“The Disciplinary Board ruled to suspend the team doctor Mr Awad Elseed Osman Ahmed Mukhtar for four (4) CAF interclub matches,” said a statement from CAF.

The statement continued; “The doctor is banned from sitting at the touchline bench and accessing the dressing rooms

"CAF has imposed a fine of $10.000 for the unsporting aggressive behaviour of the team doctor upon the club, Al Hilal.”

“To impose upon a financial sanction of USD 20.000 for the lack of security during the training session and at the end of the match.”

“Limit the attendance of the number of people assisting in matches to be played behind closed doors to 30 people in the tribune along with the operational and technical staff.

“In an event that the number of attendees in the next matches of Al Hilal Club played behind closed doors exceeds the above-mentioned quota, a fine of USD 50,000 will be automatically imposed upon Al Hilal Club.”

The decision follows a complaint lodged by Al Ahly in the wake of incidents that occurred before, during, and after the match at the Al Hilal Stadium in Omdurman.

Marcel Koller's side was subjected to abuse from supporters of the Sudanese club during a training session on February 17.

Despite the game being played behind closed doors, the Blue Wave allowed 1,000 fans into the stadium.

Al Ahly players Mohamed Abdel-Moneim, Mohamed El-Shennay, and Ali Lotfi were attacked by a member of Al Hilal's medical staff, leading to complaints from the Cairo giants over violations that contradict all sports' ethics and regulations.
