The match in brief
Inter Milan took an early lead with Lautaro Martinez's goal and doubled it with Hakan Calhanoglu’s penalty. However, Barcelona rallied with Eric Garcia's volley and Dani Olmo's header, gaining momentum.
Raphinha's powerful shot then put Barcelona ahead for the first time in the tie, but Inter refused to yield. Francesco Acerbi's clinical finish from Denzel Dumfries' cross forced the match into extra time, sending the crowd into a frenzy. In extra time, Davide Frattesi sealed the win for Inter with a beautifully weighted shot, that went unreplied.
What Oshoala said
When Barcelona was down 2-0 at halftime, Pulse Nigeria’s sports influencer of the year, UTDTrey,, tweeted, “If Barcelona come back, call me a BIG FOOL. It ain't happening.”
As stated earlier, Barcelona did claw their way back, and for a brief moment before Acerbi’s equaliser, were set for a trip to Lisbon to take on PSG or Arsenal in the final, after Raphinha sent them 3-2 up.
After the Brazilian's goal, Oshoala quoted UTDTrey’s tweet, saying, BIG FOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL 🤣🤣 sorry for d laugh.” The Manchester United fan account had the last laugh, however, as Inter equalised, and beat Barcelona in extra time.
