Bayern Munich win their third consecutive game after a run run of three draws.
Bayern Munich returned to their devastating best, as a dominant second-half performance helped them trounce Bochum 3-0.
Julian Nagelsmann's side hosted Bochum at the Allianz Arena as they looked to extend their lead at the top of the Bundesliga, with the chasing pack as close as ever. Bayern dominated from start to finish, discarding all doubts about their form going into the Champions League.
Bochum managed to keep Bayern from scoring in the opening exchanges, but could only do it for so long before Muller fired the home side ahead in the 41st minute. The Bavarians wasted most of the chances they created in the game, but second-half strikes from Kinglsey Coman in the 64th minute and Gnabry in the 73rd minute made sure the score line did not flatter the hapless away side.

Following Dortmund's win, Bayern's 3-0 victory ensured that they maintained their three-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga before Union Berlin plays Leipzig later today. Bochum, on the other hand, remain 15th and are only three points above the drop.
How it happened
Bayern threatened to run riot early in the game as they did against Wolfsburg, but Konstantinos Stafyldis and Manuel Reimann in goal were on their game to deny the early onslaught. The Blues did well foiling Bayern, only to be the architects of their own downfall, as Muller pounced on a loose back pass by Saidy Janko before going around the charging Riemann to put Bayern ahead.

Bochum came out of the break a much-improved side, threatening to equalise, as Phillip Hoffmann's powerful header was tipped over the crossbar by Yann Sommer. Bayern regained control of the game, and they resumed turning the tourniquet, piling the pressure, and they would be rewarded soon enough when Coman was the last piece of a well-worked attack, finishing through the legs of Reimann to double the hosts' advantage.

Bochum's problems would be compounded when Serge Gnabry was fouled in the box resulting in a penalty. The Germany international stepped up to take the resulting spot kick himself, and he made no mistake firing past Riemann to seal a 3-0 victory.
A title race in Germany
Bayern Munich have won each of the last ten Bundesliga titles, making it obvious to predict them as winners again this season. However, this term, they have not always had it their way.
Last gameweek, Union Berlin’s win took them to the top of the league before the Bavarians wrestled it back with a win of their own against Wolfsburg. It is already the halfway point of the season, and Julian Nagelsmann's men lead by three points, which could be cut to one if Union defeats Leipzig.
