Saudi side Al Hilal have now emerged as favourites ahead of Juventus to sign the Nigerian striker, offering a salary reportedly worth an eye-watering ₦1.3 billion per week.

Juventus face uphill task to sign Osimhen

Juventus are reportedly ready to offer €85 million to convince Napoli to sell, exceeding the €75 million release clause in Osimhen’s contract that only applies to clubs outside Italy.

Osimhen and Galatasaray stay five points clear with a game in hand.

While the Italian giants are serious contenders, they face stiff competition from Al Hilal, who are not only willing to meet the clause but also offer Osimhen a massive salary worth €35 million per year.

The striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been in spectacular form with 33 goals in 37 matches for the Turkish side.

Victor Osimhen has scored 31 goals this season for Galatasaray.

Osimhen’s form has raised several eyebrows within and outside Europe, and even though English teams are reportedly losing interest, the Super Eagles forward could still seal a big move this summer.

Al Hilal’s monster offer tempts Osimhen

Juventus may be keen, but their financial limitations pale in comparison to what Al Hilal are putting on the table.

Victor Osimhen has scored 33 goals this season for Gala.

Osimhen currently earns €11 million per season, but Al Hilal’s proposal would more than triple that figure, placing him among the highest-paid footballers globally.

This type of financial muscle is difficult for European clubs to match, regardless of prestige or Champions League status and could be the deciding factor for where Osimhen eventually ends up.

Victor Osimhen scored his 21st goal of the season for Galatasaray in the Lig.

With image rights and endorsements likely included, a move to the Saudi club could see Osimhen sitting at the same financial table as some of the world’s biggest players like Mohamed Salah and Kylian Mbappe.
