The Brazilian is among the transfer options United will target in the next transfer window.

If the Qatari bidders are successful in their takeover, Manchester United will make a sensational move for Neymar.

The ambitious billionaire Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al Thani is reportedly eyeing the Brazilian as his signature signing this summer.

The Glazers, who are United’s current owners, are looking for further investments in the club, and a third round of bidding is due on Saturday.

Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are said to have targeted a full buyout of the Premier League club from the current owners, but none has yet to match the Glazers' £6 billion price tag.

However, Sir Ratcliffe is said to be considering a partial takeover and is also rumoured to be in pole position in the bidding war.

Should the Qatari succeed in his bid for United, he will make a move for the PSG forward, who is considered one of the most talented players in the world, according to The Sun.

Neymar is the Selecao’s joint top scorer ever with Pele, with 77 goals. To signal the new owner’s intentions of taking the club to a different level, Neymar has been identified as one of the top signings.

In 29 games, he has scored 18 goals in the ongoing campaign, although he has had to deal with ankle injuries.

The Ligue 1 club could be ready to let him leave given his huge £616k-per-week contract. Following his £198 million transfer from Barcelona to PSG, Neymar remains the most expensive footballer in the world.

He is under a contract that runs to 2025, although the French giants have the option of extending it to 2027.
