Napoli legend Antonio Careca likened Victor Osimhen's wonder goal against Roma to Pele
Napoli legend Antonio Careca has heaped praise on Victor Osimhen for his superb goal for the club in a 2-1 win against Roma.
The former Brazilian striker gushed about Osimhen's goal and likened it to his more famous compatriot, the late great Pele.
Osimhen goal was the opener against Roma, controlling a cross with his chest, setting it with his knee and then firing home what has now been voted the Serie A goal of the month.
Careca hails Osimhen
“Osimhen? He made a picture, a beautiful Pele-like goal," Careca spoke to Kiss Kiss Napoli as quoted in reaction to the goal by TuttoNapoli.

“On the goal, it was a beautiful technical gesture by Victor, then Simeone sealed the double advantage. However, Roma is a good team with an experienced coach like Mourinho, the difficulties encountered by Napoli are natural," Careca continued offering his thoughts on the game.
The Napoli legend could not contain his excitement, "It mattered to win, I don’t know what the starting team is, but the players on the bench are also making a difference.”
The 62-year-old went on to dole out compliments to all of the key players in the Napoli win including Victor Osimhen the top scorer in the league.

"Victor, Simeone, Lobotka, author of a great match, Kvara and the whole team churned out an incredible performance," Careca said.
The retired Brazilian showed his appreciation to the players working to bring Il Partenopei its first Scudetto since 1990 when Careca was part of the squad.
