Terence Crawford defeated Canelo Alvarez to be crowned undisputed super middleweight at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
With a victory over Canelo Alvarez at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Crawford cemented his status as the greatest pound-for-pound boxer of a generation and became the undisputed champion in a third weight class.
After achieving the same success at super lightweight (140 lbs) and welterweight (147 lbs), Crawford is now the undisputed super middleweight (168 lbs) champion.
Crawford defeats Canelo
Many people initially wrote off the bout as a physical contest in which Canelo would be too big.
However, it ended up being the biggest—and possibly best—night of Crawford's career, which was headed to the Hall of Fame.

The 37-year-old Crawford just outperformed Canelo in the ring preventing the Mexican superstar from having any real influence over the bout.
Crawford picked his moments but he also held his own in fights with Canelo, using his legs effectively.
Canelo once more found it difficult to cut off the ring against a more mobile opponent and was unable to solve the Crawford riddle.
After 12 rounds the fight was was decided by the judges as Crawford won by scores of 115-113, 115-113, and 116-112.
