Joel Embiid and New York Knicks forward Julius Randle will be replaced at the NBA All-Star Game by Scottie Barnes and Trae Young.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has selected guard Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks and forward-guard Scottie Barnes of the Toronto Raptors as the Eastern Conference's injury replacements for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game.

Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers and Julius Randle of the New York Knicks will be replaced by the two players.

The Indiana Pacers' home arena, Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, will host the 73rd NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, February 18.

For the first time, Barnes, the 2021–22 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year, has been named an NBA All-Star.

The 6-7 Barnes is averaging career-highs in 35.3 minutes across 50 games this season, with 20.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.48 blocks, and 1.24 steals in his third NBA season.

In six NBA seasons—all of which he played for the Hawks—Young has been selected for three NBA All-Star teams.

Despite being chosen as starters and reserves, respectively, Embiid (lateral meniscus injury in left knee) and Randle (dislocated right shoulder) will not participate in the NBA All-Star Game.
