Having had an iconic career, Usain Bolt has revealed the two things he misses about being an athlete, which are not about winning medals or setting records.

Track legend and world's fastest man in history Usain Bolt may be retired, but everything about him still misses two things about being an athlete.

The Jamaican speed king regarded as the greatest athletics star in history, won multiple Olympic and World Championships gold medals, as well as being the World Record holder in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m.

Bolt retired in 2017 after the World Championships in London, where he won a 100m bronze medal - his last medal and the first time he was defeated at a major championship since the 4×100m relay of the 2007 World Athletics Championships.

Now reflecting on his glorious career, the track icon revealed what he misses most about his time as a famous athlete, especially knowing this is an Olympic year.

"I miss the competition. Every time I watch everyone just competing, I miss that," said Bolt in an exclusive interview with Athletics Weekly.

"When I watch the girls compete like Shelly-Ann, I still get nervous. And my coach always says if Shelly-Ann could be doing this, then you could be, so I always laugh about that."

The 37-year-old further stated that he misses the crowd and the adrenaline that comes with being at the stadium.

"It's the crowd. The first entry into the stadium, they see you and scream. That first trial when you set your blocks, the energy picks up. So for me, It's just the adrenaline and the vibes, the energy. So that's something that I miss."

Since his retirement, Bolt has been involved in several projects in other sports outside track and field.
