With expected return to competitive track racing after several months off, Sha'Carri Richardson gave a glimpse of her training look by flaunting her natural hair.

World 100m champion Sha'Carri Richardson is in the headlines again for her beautiful natural hair after flaunting it in training ahead of her highly anticipated 2025 season opener at the Seiko Grand Prix in Tokyo on Sunday, May 18.

The American sprint queen, who has mostly been in the news this year for attending various influential occasions, announcing brand deals and partnerships, and her romantic relationship with fellow track star Christian Coleman, will finally make her season debut in Tokyo.

Richardson announced this on her social media platforms, with a special video dedicated to her competition location.

Shortly after this, she posted on her Instagram story a selfie GIF of her upper body in training as fans couldn't help but notice her natural hair, which she let out to play.

Richardson is scheduled to compete in the 100m against a respectable field, and she's the outright favourite for the win, having her training partner Twanisha Terry serving as her biggest challenger. Australia's Bree Rizzo and Japan's trio of Midori Mikase, Manara Miura, and Himani Yamanaka complete the list.

The famous track queen last competed at the Brussels Diamond League in September 2024, where she shockingly finished eighth in 11.23s.

Surprisingly, her performance was on the bounce of defeating Olympic champion Julien Alfred a week earlier in Zurich and a memorable Olympic debut in Paris, after winning 100m silver medal and anchoring Team USA to 4x100m gold.

With a title to defend at the World Championships in Tokyo this summer, Richardson will gun to kick off her season on a statement-winning note to build her confidence and fine-tune preparations for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, her boyfriend Coleman will also race in the men's 100m category, aiming to finally get his first win of the season against a modest field that includes rising 18-year-old sensation Christian Miller.
