For an exceptional 2023 season, Noah Lyles is the highest-ranked male sprinter of the 2023 season.

Never in doubt after his historic 2023 season, the world's fastest man Noah Lyles has been named the No.1 sprinter of last year.

The list compiled by notable athletics website Track and Field News represents the No. 1 male in each discipline for 2023. This ranking also dictates the bonuses that will be paid by sponsors for each track meet they attended.

Noah Lyles reigned supreme in Budapest by winning three gold medals

Lyles takes the lead in the 100m event based on his title-winning performance at the World Championships in Budapest, where he blazed to a fast 10.83s to win the title and end the season as the world leader.

In addition, the US champion and World Athlete of the Year (Track), defended his 200m title and anchored Team USA to the 4x100m gold medal.

By doing this, he became the third American man in history to complete a sprint triple and joined the ranks of Tyson Gay and Maurice Greene, then Usain Bolt, thus cementing his place as one of the top sprinters in history.

His dominance in the 200m was unmatchable, making him lead a golden era of runners in the event and maintained his position as the world leader for the sixth consecutive year, staying undefeated in six 200m finals.
