The competition, according to the sports marketer, intends to advance volleyball at the grassroots level.

He added that he wants Plateau state to be the home of Beach Volleyball in the country.

He said, “I am glad to announce that the Jos Beach Volleyball Fiesta has attracted teams from Abuja, Bauchi, Gombe, Plateau, Kaduna, the paramilitary, as well as a foreign team, and for now, over 30 teams have registered for it.

“Beach volleyball is well rooted in Plateau State. It is on record that some of the finest indoor volleyball players have their roots in Plateau State. I want the same to happen in the beach volleyball event. For any team to be eligible, you must feature a non-professional player, thus the theme, Pair to Inspire.”
