Nigeria ends African Volleyball Championship with a loss

Team Nigeria ended their campaign in the 6th position

The Nigeria women's volleyball team ended the African Volleyball Championship in Yaounde, Cameroon with a loss to Algeria.

The Nigerian team had a strong start to the competition and advanced to the knockout round with a record of two victories and two losses in the games played during the group round.

They were eliminated from contention for medals after losing to Kenya in the quarterfinal, but they still had the classification games to fall back on.

They defeated Morocco 3-0 in their opening encounter for the classification on Wednesday, while Algeria defeated them 3-1 on Thursday.

Nigeria at African Volleyball Championship

Nigeria came back stronger in the third quarter to defeat North Africa 23-25 after the North Africans had dominated the game and won the opening two quarters 25-18, 25-13.

Algeria claimed the 4th set with a 25-17 win to finish in the 5th position as Team Nigeria ended their campaign in the 6th position
