Canada coach has advised that Juventus should get Osimhen.

Jesse Marsch, head coach of the Canadian national team, has made a bold claim that Juventus should pair Jonathan David and Victor Osimhen to get "at least 50 goals" per season.

David recently completed his move to Juventus on a five-year deal after his contract with Lille expired.

In the 2024/2025 season with Lille, David contributed to 37 goals in 49 appearances across all competitions, scoring 25 goals and providing 12 assists.

What Marsch said

In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Marsch, who has a proven track record of nurturing elite strikers through the Red Bull coaching system (including Haaland, Benjamin Sesko, Christopher Nkunku, and Karim Adeyemi), was unequivocal in his praise for David.

"There are all different kinds of strikers but in terms of pure returns, David is right after Haaland," Marsch stated.

Marsch believes a dream partnership between David and Napoli's Victor Osimhen at Juventus could yield an astounding "at least 50 goals" per season.

He added, "Osimhen is a centre-forward, David more of a second striker. I don’t know if it will happen but on paper it would be a fantastic duo. They would score between them at least 50 goals."

Victor Osimhen had a prolific loan spell at Galatasaray in the 2024/2025 season, scoring 26 goals and providing 5 assists in 30 league appearances.

Combined with David's output from last season, a joint total of over 50 goals is certainly within the realm of possibility.
