Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has not been too pleased with Napoli in recent times, and his irritation has gone beyond the club’s upper echelon, coach, and social media team and has now extended to some of the Partenopei fans.

Osimhen has yet to sign a contract extension with Napoli, despite his current contract expiring in 2025, leading to speculation that the superstar could quit the team very soon.

The Nigerian striker has been linked to several of Europe’s top clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United, and Liverpool, while remaining one of Napoli’s most important players.

Despite Osimhen’s apparent unrest at the club, the 24-year-old forward remains a fan favourite and was recently mobbed by teeming admirers who sought the star’s autograph as he made his way to Napoli training.

Reason why Osimhen was upset with Napoli fans

The Super Eagles star, who is usually more accommodating of his fans, seemed to take an issue this time around, as he got upset at the fans surrounding his car.

Osimhen appeared to be upset that some of the fans requesting his autograph had scratched his car with their markers.

The Super Eagles striker tried to overcome the language barrier between himself and the fans, explaining what had gone wrong by demonstrating with a marker that he had in his car.

Regardless of the altercation, Osimhen remains a favourite in Napoli circles after helping the Partenopei claim their first Serie A title in 33 years.
