However, Pep Guardiola's side mounted a late charge, with Bernardo Silva levelling the score before Erling Haaland netted a winner in the 93rd minute.

The win takes them to six points behind the title leaders Arsenal as they put pressure on the title race.

The volume was high enough to be clearly audible during Slot's media obligations, prompting a sharp rebuke from Keane.

"I will be interested to see if the music is on when Pep is doing his talk," the former midfielder told Sky Sports. "Man City are entitled to enjoy themselves, but they have to show a little bit of respect."

"Turn the bloody music down while people are doing press interviews. It is ridiculous," he added.

Beyond the incident, Keane analysed the significance of the result for the Premier League title race, praising City's resilience.

"Huge result. Big lift for City. Their record here is not great," Keane explained. "Pep said before the game, when you come to Anfield you need to show personality and character—and this City team showed it. Particularly in the second half."
