After a very disgraceful outing in a 3-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest, Tottenham will be in dire need to get a win as soon as possible. Spurs have only been able to win 1 out of their last 7 EPL matches (D2, L4).

While Thomas Frank has pleaded for more patience from the fans, another defeat at home will further strain their trust in the team.

Meanwhile, Liverpool were able to pick up valuable 3 points in their last EPL outing. Thanks to two great goals from Hugo Ekitike, the Red got past Brighton in a comfortable victory.

Heading into this match, Arne Slot's team will hope to pick all three points if they want to end the year in the top four of the table. The Reds are already on a 4-game unbeaten run in the league (W2, D2).

Games between Tottenham and Liverpool have been entertaining and sometimes full of goals. However, the Reds have superior H2H records in an overwhelming manner against their host in the last 20 matches (W14, D3, L3).

The most recent encounter between them saw Liverpool hammer Spurs 5-1 in April. Also, the last time the home side recorded a win against their visitors was a 1-0 victory in an EFL Cup match last January in this same stadium.

Thomas Frank has a whole lot to deal with, especially with his midfield duo, Pape Sarr and Yves Bissouma, who have been called up for the AFCON tournament. James Maddison and Dominic Solanke are still sidelined with injuries

The manager will likely pair Lucas Bergvall and Joao Palhinha in the midfield since English youngster Archie Gray could not prove himself in their last outing.

For Liverpool, Conor Bradley is back from suspension and will play in place of the injured Joe Gomez. The manager will also be without Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai while waiting for medical clearance for Jeremie Frimpong.

With Mo Salah off to the AFCON, Slot will have no problem sticking to Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike as his attacking options. After all, the manager had kept the Egyptian star on the bench in the last four matches. Alexander Isak may also have some minutes in the game.
