Michelle Alozie continues to steal the headlines for club and country after another impressive outing on the pitch.

Alozie has been renamed following her ridiculous goal for Houston Dash in the American NWSL.

The Nigerian defender was one of the stars as the Houston Dash came from behind to force a share of the spoils following a 1-1 draw at home to Kansas City Current on Sunday morning.

Alozie rescues Houston

In her second match since her debut for Nigeria at the FIFA Women’s World Cup, the defender put in another solid performance.

Alozie was the heroine for her club as she netted the decisive equaliser that earned them a point and saved them from defeat.

With her side trailing 1-0 following Lo’eau LaBonta's opener for Kansas City early in the second half, Alozie’s impressive positioning and reading of the game saw her in the right place and time to intercept the ball in Current’s half.

Dashing through the away side’s defence, the Nigerian superstar unleashed an improvised finish with the outside of her foot to fire Houston back into the game.

That excellent finish was the second of the season for the Houston Dash from Alozie, who also has an assist to her name in 13 appearances.

However, the goal from the 2023 FIFAWWC star was not enough to give Houston its first win in three matches but earned more accolades from fans.
