Ashe qualified with the fastest overall time of 10.06s to effortlessly win his heat ahead of teammate Azeem Fahmi in a Personal Best (PB) of 10.11s.

It's his first race of the outdoor season, as he did not finish his race at the Tom Jones Invitational, pulling out injured with a suspected hamstring injury.

With his injury now behind him, the Auburn University sophomore student looks his best to defend his title and gain the maximum points for his school.

However, Brume has been in his best career shape this season and is a huge threat to that title hopes.
