The 41-year-old superstar is currently in a high-profile standoff with the Saudi club, effectively going on strike and missing two matches to protest Al Nassr's lack of transfer activity compared to state-funded rivals like Al Hilal.

Frustrated by what he perceives as a "betrayal" regarding squad investment, the Portuguese icon has reportedly instructed his agents to explore a move to Major League Soccer (MLS).

Ronaldo to join Messi at Inter Miami?

The prospect of the "Last Dance" has gained significant traction, with David Beckham reportedly monitoring the situation closely.

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Ronaldo is "dreaming" of finishing his career alongside Messi and is even willing to take a massive pay cut from his $4.7 million-per-week salary to fit within MLS regulations.

Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in December 2022 and has since shattered goalscoring records, becoming the first player to reach 900 official career goals while in Saudi Arabia.

However, despite his individual brilliance, he has failed to win the Saudi Pro League title since his arrival.

Tensions finally came to a head when the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) facilitated the move of Karim Benzema to rivals Al Hilal, a decision Ronaldo reportedly viewed as a slight against Al Nassr’s competitive ambitions.

It remains to be seen whether Ronaldo does end his Saudi adventure this summer, but a move to the MLS to play alongside Messi could be the perfect end to the glittering careers of two of the greatest players of all time.
