Premier League: Arsenal face fresh injury scare ahead of must-win Tottenham clash
Leandro Trossard was forced off with an injury during the Gunners' frustrating 2-2 draw with Wolves on Wednesday night, a result that saw them drop more points in the Premier League title race.
The Belgian international started the match at Molineux on the bench, with manager Mikel Arteta keeping Gabriel Martinelli in the starting lineup after his goal in the FA Cup victory over Wigan.
Trossard entered the game in the 73rd minute, replacing Bukayo Saka, who had been withdrawn after appearing to sustain a knee problem.
However, the forward's night was cut short following a collision with Wolves defender Santiago Bueno.
Trossard struggling ahead of North London derby
After receiving medical attention, Trossard was substituted for Riccardo Calafiori. In a difficult cameo, Calafiori was unable to prevent Tom Edozie's late shot from crossing the line as Wolves secured a dramatic stoppage-time equalizer.
The severity of Trossard's injury has not yet been confirmed, but the 31-year-old is now a doubt for Sunday's vital clash with Tottenham.
On a more positive note for the club, it is understood that Saka is not seriously injured. The winger was seen limping when he was substituted, but his participation in post-match media interviews suggests he will be available for the derby as Arsenal aim to reignite their title challenge.
