Police, who had lost 1-0 to Shabana last week, bounced back to beat Kariobangi Sharks by the same margin, thanks to Abud Omar’s 55th minute goal from a set-piece.

Victory sees Police move to the top of the table with 20 points from 10 games, one ahead of Gor Mahia, who face AFC Leopards in the Mashemeji Derby on Sunday. K’Ogalo can, however, regain their place at the top of the table with a win over Ingwe.

Meanwhile, Shabana moved to fourth place on the table following a 1-0 win at home to Bidco United in the early kick off.

Mark Okola scored the lone goal via a penalty in the 55th minute as Tore Bobe made it two wins in a row and five matches without defeat, a period in which they have won three and drawn two.

Peter Okidi’s side now have 18 points from 11 games, just two behind the league leaders but having played a game more than Police.
