Pochettino highlights inconsistency in media coverage for Chelsea and Liverpool

 Pochettino pointed out the stark difference in the media reaction to both events, highlighting an inconsistency that raises questions about expectations and reality in football's high-stakes environment.

The world of Premier League football is unforgiving, with expectations sky-high for participating teams. However, Pochettino feels like his side gets more stick compared to a team like Liverpool. 

Speaking before Chelsea’s FA Cup replay against Aston Villa, he said, as reported by Chris Wheatley on X "When the expectation is different to the reality, it's difficult. 

"When we lost to Liverpool, it was a 'massive fail, Chelsea are so bad'. When Liverpool lost to Arsenal, I heard nothing - it was a similar result," Pochettino said 

Pochettino's remarks shed light on the pressure and scrutiny faced by clubs and how it varies. After Chelsea's defeat at Liverpool, the narrative quickly turned to a "massive fail," with critics lambasting Chelsea's performance.
