Manchester City keen to land Semenyo in January
The interest in Semenyo signals a potential shift in strategy for the reigning champions, who are looking for ways to close the gap on Premier League leaders Arsenal.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable rise, establishing himself as one of the Premier League's most effective wide forwards.
His record of six goals and three assists in twelve league appearances this season is particularly impressive for a player in a Bournemouth side still finding its footing under manager Andoni Iraola.
Beyond his goal contributions, it is Semenyo's versatility that appeals to City manager Guardiola, who has a long history of favouring adaptable players.
The winger has been deployed on both flanks and as a central striker for the Cherries, offering a blend of speed, power, and tactical flexibility that the City boss has often sought in mid-season reinforcements.
This season has starkly revealed Manchester City's heavy reliance on star striker Erling Haaland for goals. Outside of the Norwegian, only Phil Foden has scored more than once in the league, a departure from the fluid, multi-pronged attacks that defined previous City teams.
Foden echoed this sentiment after his 91st-minute winner secured a 3-2 victory against Leeds United. "It can’t just come from him every game," he said, emphasising the need for teammates to step up.
The upcoming Africa Cup of Nations further complicates City's situation, with winger Omar Marmoush set to be unavailable for up to five weeks while representing Egypt. With other options like Savinho and Oscar Bobb yet to make a consistent impact.
