Olympic champion Julien Alfred has been honoured with a new jewellery line to help fund her charitable foundation, which aims to support the next generation of Saint Lucian athletes.

The "Julien Alfred Legacy Collection" was officially launched on October 11 during the inaugural fundraising event for the Julien Alfred Foundation. Created by Eleanor Prospere, the French-Saint Lucian founder of Fearless Jewellery, the collection is designed as a tribute to triumph, identity, and national pride.

A portion of the proceeds from the collection will be donated to Alfred's foundation. The line, which includes a unisex macramé bracelet, earrings, and a charm-infused gold-plated necklace and bracelet, was conceived after Alfred's historic 100m victory at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

"I realised that that was a big game-changer for Saint Lucia," Prospere told the St. Lucia Times. "Thanks to her, Saint Lucia is placed on the map... Now, when people say Saint Lucia, they think of Julien Alfred. So I thought, why not create a jewellery line inspired by her?"

Prospere's vision was to create something that would allow Saint Lucians at home and abroad to "share the win with her" by owning a piece of jewellery that incorporates prominent national symbols.

The design of the commemorative line is inspired by the Olympic gold medal, featuring its distinctive central hexagon and radiating lines that symbolise the athletes' shining performances. "I thought about incorporating the Saint Lucian flag in the middle of the Olympic medal," Prospere explained, noting her love for geometric shapes inspired by Egyptian pyramids.

Working with her design team, Prospere sketched a concept that merged the medal's form with the national flag. "I told my designer, I want to keep the medal as it is... but incorporate the Saint Lucian flag, not changing too much of the original style."

Larger pieces in the collection are rich with Saint Lucian iconography, including a triangle from the flag, the island's map outline, the Marguerite flower, the torch from the Coat of Arms, and the national bird, the Amazona Versicolor.

With the concept fully envisioned, a three-year collaboration agreement was signed in March 2025 between both parties.

Prospere self-financed the entire project, from design to the production of 400 pieces, ensuring they were ready for the foundation's October auction. She is already planning to expand the collection with a men's Cuban link necklace and a matching women's necklace.
