Nigerian-born Arsenal star equals Henry’s record in dominant North London derby win
Arsenal forward Eberechi Eze has etched his name alongside club legend Thierry Henry after a stunning display in the North London derby.
The Nigerian-born attacker matched Henry’s Premier League goal tally against Tottenham Hotspur during Arsenal’s emphatic 4-1 victory.
Five goals and counting against Spurs
Arsenal produced a clinical performance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to bounce back from their midweek setback.
Eze was once again the tormentor-in-chief, scoring twice to take his tally to five goals in just two league appearances against Spurs since joining the Gunners last summer.

Bukayo Saka’s determination set up the opener, as he surged past Pape Sarr to tee up Eze for a calm finish. Although Randal Kolo Muani briefly levelled matters, Viktor Gyökeres restored Arsenal’s advantage before Eze added another to seal the contest.
Only Robert Pirès (7) and Emmanuel Adebayor (6) have scored more Premier League goals for Arsenal against Tottenham than Eze (5), who now boasts the same tally in this fixture as Henry and Robin van Persie.
Eze reveals secret to scoring against Tottenham
Reflecting on his derby dominance, Eze, who has scored five of his six Premier League goals for Arsenal against Tottenham, remained modest.

“Today it worked out, thanks God. Why do I always score against Spurs? I try to score against everyone but it always seems to work against them,” the Gunners midfielder said.
Thanks to the win against Tottenham, Arsenal restored their five-point lead at the summit of the Premier League, leaving Spurs and new boss Igor Tudor with plenty to ponder, while Eze continues to write his own chapter in derby folklore.
