The Congolese hosts started strong, taking the lead just five minutes into the match when Beny Namboka capitalised on early pressure.

Namboka struck again in the 29th minute, doubling his team's advantage with a confident finish that highlighted Maniema's control of the game.

Jaency Mboma put the result beyond doubt just before halftime, adding a third goal in the 44th minute to seal a comprehensive win.

The victory marked Maniema's fourth in six group-stage matches, securing their place as group winners. In contrast, Nairobi United finished at the bottom of the table, unable to register a single point.

CAF Confederation Cup: Wydad 2-0 Azam

In the group's other decisive fixture, Wydad Athletic Club secured the second qualification spot by defeating Azam FC 2-0 in a tense encounter.

The match remained deadlocked for over an hour until Wydad broke through in the 64th minute. An unfortunate own goal from Azam defender Pascal Msindo, who turned the ball into his own net under pressure, gave the Moroccan side a vital lead.

Needing a win to advance, Azam pushed for an equaliser but were unable to breach Wydad's defence. The home side absorbed the pressure and sealed their victory deep into stoppage time when Walid Nassi scored in the 94th minute.

Both clubs will be aiming to build on their group-stage success as they navigate the high-stakes knockout rounds in their pursuit of continental glory.
