Donnarumma confirmed his PSG exit on social media, hinting at dissatisfaction with how the decision was handled.
Luis Enrique also admits to swinging the axe on Donnarumma and was left out of PSG's team for the UEFA Super Cup to face Tottenham.
This comes just days after PSG signed Lucas Chevalier from Lille for around €40 million.
Man City close in on Donnarumma
Following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, Gianluigi Donnarumma appears close to signing with Manchester City, according to reports from France.
L'Equipe reports, via Sportal, that the Italian goalkeeper has spoken with City manager Pep Guardiola and agreed to join the Premier League champions.
Now, Manchester City just needs to finalise the deal with PSG, who are reportedly asking for a fee less than what they paid for Chevalier.
The Italian goalkeeper is also a target for Manchester United this summer as they look for competition for Andre Onana.
