Raúl Jiménez carved his name into Premier League history on a dramatic afternoon, overtaking a long-standing record previously held by Yaya Toure.

The Fulham striker achieved the milestone during a chaotic clash with Manchester United that swung wildly until the very last seconds.

Jiménez makes Premier League history from the spot

Jiménez’s moment arrived late in the game at Old Trafford, but its significance stretched far beyond the scoreline. The Mexican forward calmly converted a penalty in the 83rd minute after Harry Maguire was penalised for a pull inside the box.

That strike marked his 12th successful penalty in the Premier League, all without a single miss. In doing so, Jiménez moved clear of Yaya Touré, who previously held the record with 11 goals from 11 attempts.

The finish itself was emphatic, a thunderous effort that left no doubt and briefly reignited Fulham’s hopes.

For Jiménez, who shares the Fulham dressing room with Nigerian stars Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze, the record underlines his reliability under pressure and his importance to the side in big moments.

Late drama seals heartbreak for Fulham

Despite Jiménez’s historic goal, Fulham were left stunned by the way the match ended. Manchester United had earlier taken control through Casemiro’s header and a Matheus Cunha finish that made it 2–0.

Fulham fought back late, with Jiménez’s penalty followed by a stunning 91st-minute equaliser from substitute Kevin, which silenced Old Trafford and looked to have earned a point.

However, deep into nine minutes of added time, Benjamin Šeško delivered the final blow. The United substitute latched onto a low cross from Bruno Fernandes and smashed a clinical finish into the top corner to secure a 3–2 win.

While Fulham walked away empty-handed, Jiménez’s record-breaking penalty ensured the night would still be remembered for a slice of Premier League history.
