‘Hopefully, he comes’ — Osimhen’s Super Eagles teammate advises on next move for Napoli star

Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen has received timely advice on where he should pitch his tent next if he decides to leave Napoli.

Osimhen has only recently signed a contract extension with Napoli that will last until 2026, but the Super Eagles forward continues to attract interest from major European clubs.

With Osimhen having many options in front of him for his next career move, his Super Eagles colleague Calvin Bassey has advised the striker on what he believes would be the best move to make.

Speaking with The Athletic, Bassey harped on about the quality of Osimhen, saying, “He is a joke — the only striker I know who can run a back line by himself. He can run in behind, he can head, finish, he can do everything.

On a future move outside Napoli for Osimhen, Bassey said, “The Prem would suit him. Hopefully, he comes at some point, but I’d rather have him in my team than against him!”

Osimhen has been an important part of the Napoli side since signing for them in 2019 and led them to the Serie A title in the 2022/23 season.

He has since attracted interest from teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid, with the Blues apparently in the lead for the Nigerian’s signature.
