‘Honored and proud’ - Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro express his gratitude to President Tinubu

Peseiro led the Super Eagles to the final of the 2023 AFCON tournament but lost 2-1 to the host country Ivory Coast.
The Nigeria players who returned from the Ivory Coast were welcomed back to Nigeria by the President who invited them to the Presidential Villa.

Peseiro commend Tinubu
Jose Peseiro and the Super Eagles players visited the president at the Presidential Villa and were honoured by the presidency.
The players and the coaching staff were rewarded with the OOU medals which the President presented.

After the presentation, Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro took to his X handle and appreciated the president for the award.
He said, “Honored and proud. We were received and commended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who reinforced what we already felt from the Nigerian people, participating in AFCON made the whole Nation dream, happy and united!”
