Shumah made the biggest impact as he came off the bench to guide Zambian champions Power Dynamos to a 2-1 win in the Zambian Super League after his team had been pegged back earlier.

The former Kakamega Homeboyz striker scored twice as Power Dynamos came from behind to beat Konkola Blades 2-1, the win moving them to second place on the table with 25 points from 12 games, six behind leaders Red Arrows although they have a game in hand.

While Shumah was winning it for Power Dynamos, Duke Abuya kept his impressive show for Tanzanian giants Yanga going as he weighed in with another key assist in his team’s 1-0 win over Coastal Union on Sunday.

Good Day for Abuya, Woe for Bajaber

The game looked set for a goalless draw but in the 89th minute, Abuya set up Prince Dube to score and grab all three points at the death for the Tanzanian champions.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Bajaber’s bid to end the week on a high was not successful as he watched from the bench as Simba SC lost 2-0 at home to Azam FC.

Bajaber, who made his long-awaited Simba debut on Thursday, and scored with his first touch, was an unused substitute as Simba failed to make it five wins in a row.

A brace of assists from Nassor Saadun Hamoud set up Japhte Kitambala and Iddy Seleman Nado to score for Azam very late in the contest to hand Simba their first league defeat of the season.
