Faster than Ronaldo and Giggs: Bruno Fernandes races to Man United milestone behind only Rooney
Bruno Fernandes keeps writing his name deeper into Manchester United folklore, and his latest milestone puts him shoulder-to-shoulder with the club’s greatest attackers.
The Portuguese playmaker has now reached a historic landmark quicker than some of Old Trafford’s most iconic legends.
Fernandes hits 200 contributions quicker than United legends
Bruno Fernandes reached 200 Premier League-era goal contributions for Manchester United after scoring in the 2-0 win over Tottenham, further cementing his importance to the team.
The milestone comes from an incredible mix of 104 goals and 96 assists in 314 appearances, numbers that show how central he has been to everything United create going forward.

What makes the achievement even louder is who he has beaten to get there. Fernandes reached the mark quicker than Ryan Giggs, Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham, three players who defined different eras of Manchester United dominance.
The only player to hit 200 goal contributions faster in the Premier League for United remains Wayne Rooney, which is elite company by any standard.
For a midfielder to sit in that conversation speaks volumes. Fernandes has carried United creatively for years, stepping up in big moments, taking responsibility from the penalty spot, and constantly delivering decisive passes.
Bruno's match-winning display drives United top-four push
Fernandes’ milestone arrived in a performance that also helped Manchester United secure a crucial 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
The match tilted further in United’s favour when Spurs captain Cristian Romero was sent off midway through the first half, leaving the visitors chasing shadows for large parts of the game.
United took advantage through a well-worked set piece. Fernandes delivered the corner that eventually found Bryan Mbeumo after clever build-up play, and the Cameroonian calmly slotted through bodies into the bottom corner to score his 10th goal of the season.
Fernandes then put the game to bed late on. Arriving at the back post, he converted Diogo Dalot’s cross to seal the result and cap off a performance full of leadership and attacking quality.
The win marked United’s fourth straight victory under Michael Carrick, strengthening their hold on a top-four spot. Meanwhile, Tottenham’s struggles continued, stretching their winless league run to eight matches and dragging them dangerously close to the relegation battle.
