Enzo Fernandez hails Rosenior’s impact, reveals what he did differently from Maresca
The English manager replaced Marcesca after the Italian left his role at Chelsea after a dispute with the club.
The Blues have enjoyed a strong start under Rosenior, climbing to fifth in the Premier League table, just a single point behind fourth-placed Manchester United.
Before a midweek Carabao Cup semi-final loss to Arsenal, Chelsea had won their last three games in all competitions.
Enzo praises Rosenior
Speaking to ESPN Argentina, Fernandez explained the tactical shift under the new leadership.
"Maresca gave us an identity; he was good for all of us," Fernandez said. "With the arrival of the new coach [Rosenior] there were changes.
“He gave each of us a lot of confidence, and we're doing well. Things haven't changed much, he just works differently, and we feel very good about achieving results and raising the level of play."
He added, "The game plan didn't change that much. Liam gives us a bit more freedom in the final third, but we already had a foundation with Maresca. In the final meters, he gives us the freedom to express ourselves."
Chelsea will look to continue their push for a top-four spot when they face Wolves this weekend. A victory could see them leapfrog Manchester United into the Champions League qualification places.
