His award-winning performances also ended Chelsea's wait for another Player of the Month winner, becoming the club's first recipient since Cole Palmer won the honour in September 2024.
Pedro beats strong competition
Joao Pedro emerged victorious from an eight-player shortlist, which also included teammate Cole Palmer, following a public vote that recognised his outstanding impact during the opening weeks of the season.
The striker's explosive start quickly made him one of the Premier League's standout performers. His four goal contributions ultimately convinced supporters that he deserved the monthly award.
Dream start against Fulham
Pedro wasted no time announcing himself this season. The Brazilian scored just 33 seconds into the Blues' opening Premier League match against Fulham, giving Chelsea the perfect start to the new season. The forward later turned provider by assisting Cole Palmer for the winning goal.
Joao Pedro carried that momentum into Chelsea's first home league fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion.
The striker found the net again with a composed finish before once more combining effectively with Palmer, providing the assist for the goal that secured another important victory for the Blues.
