Williams became the youngest athlete to win the 100m and 200m double at the 2018 World Under-20 Championships in Tampere at age 16.
She holds the girls' 100m age-15 world record with a time of 11.13 seconds, set in March 2018, and is the Jamaican record holder in the women's 200m for both the under-18 and under-20 categories. In 2021, she clocked a blistering 10.97s in the 100m, which was a then-Jamaican U20 record.
At the senior level, Williams was part of the Jamaican 4x100m relay team that won the Olympic gold in Tokyo, setting a national record of 41.02s. She's also a two-time world championships relay silver medallist (Oregon 2022 and Budapest 2023).
